Safeguarding Audit

Lisa has completed the NSPCC Training for Child Protection Trainers Advanced course and has 20 years experience as a DSL.  She is experienced in completing Safeguarding reviews in Primary and Special School settings. 

Ensuring your school's children are safe takes top priority.  Lisa can complete a comprehensive on-site safeguarding audit, to assess how effective your safeguarding practices are and identify any areas for development.

Most successful audits usually comprise of the following:

Day 1 - off site

• Virtual meeting or telephone conversation to identify leader's current position
• Review of school website and other school documentation
• Analysis of inclusion related data, behaviour data etc
• Review of referrals

Day 2 - on site

• comprehensive check of the SCR, policies, curriculum, personal training records, discussions with a range of staff with range of responsibilities and leadership evaluations.
• Discussion with governors with regards their statutory duties in relation to safeguarding.
• Observations of break and lunchtimes
• Verbal feedback

A detailed and evaluative written report provided within a school week. This will include a record of the activities undertaken and recommended actions.

If appropriate, schools can arrange a follow up visit.
